Art Direction | Editorial Design | Academic Project
(2021) Dystopia seeks to take the reader into discovering the “hidden” secrets of the most beloved and acclaimed artists of all times.
In this project, I was asked to create an editorial project based on the concept of dichotomy.
I chose the theme of Art and the Artist, specifically, how good art can be made by "bad"/"mean"
artists. Starting with the biggest question of them all: What is good art? Can you support good art made by bad people? Should you?
These are some of the questions the reader at the end should ask themselves.
The publication follows a neutral tone, at first sight, showcasing the image artists want to pass to the outside world
first, meaning all the good things they've done and how good they are. The "bad" things are hidden and left for the reader
to discover.
We live in times where cancel culture was never more significant, and social media fuels it.
Every day celebrity's skeleton's come out of the closet, and some "dirt" is uncovered, inspired by that fake Tweets based on real quotes
by the artists or they actions were created.
