(2020) Cinemateca Portuguesa analysis and re-branding proposal inspired by its history and work.
Cinemateca Portuguesa – Cinema Museum is a Portuguese identity that has a mission to safeguard and publicize the
cinematographic heritage.
The proposal intended to modernize the current identity, making it more appealing to younger audiences
while preserving it's values and history. The new logo was created through the
manipulation of Helvetica, chosen by its legibility and versatility.
The cuts made in the typographic and elements added inspired by film and clapperboards, transport the viewer to the cinematic world.
A series of posters, corporate stationary, merchandise and social media posts were created to show the stretchability of the rebranding.
